What new skills did you learn or what did you improve on during this unit?
-In the beginning of this unit I struggled to come up with ideas from someone else's. I didn't realize how easy it could be just to change two ideas and put them together. This doesn't mean you can steal any artwork, you have to interpret it. So what I did was take Stitch, who lives in Hawaii, and put him in a colder environment.
How has your thinking about what original art is changed?
-Now that I have realized that nobody's artwork is "original," I see that everyone's artwork is just an interpretation. The artwork belongs to the artist of it, but the artwork is just a twist on someone else's work.
What challenges or successes did you have during this unit? Would you change anything you did if you could go back and re-do it?
-It was difficult for me to get Stitch to look similar to the real Stitch. I'm happy with how it ended though which is all that matters in artwork. If I was to re-do something, it would be the colors I used, but those were the only colors I had.
