What are some different ways to interpret line? What did you learn by thinking of line in different ways?
Lines can be interpreted in many ways: short, long, thick, curvy, strait, and many more. In this unit, I learned that lines are more than just straight and black. Now I know that a line can be anything.
How do you feel about your final artwork for this unit? What do you like or dislike about it?
Originally, my plan was not to draw for my final project but to create a sculpture. I planned everything for making a sculpture but when it came time to actually make it, it all fell apart. The sculpture was going to be toothpicks in that shape of a map. I stayed with the map idea but instead drew different designs in each country. I'm very happy with how the final project looks. I kept it all black and white for a more simple look since there is already a lot going on with the patterns. Other than my sculpture not working, I enjoyed this unit.
